I am writing to inform you that based on the survey responses we have received and based on the correspondence that we have received from DBHDD related to best practices and social distancing, Empower Cherokee will be closed Monday, March 15th through Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 to all participants.
As things develop we will continue to inform you of continued closure dates or future opening dates. We are monitoring this ever-changing situation very closely.
I greatly appreciate all the feedback from families, caregivers, and staff on the surveys Friday. I recognize we are all experiencing disappointment as the things we know and love are postponed or canceled and I understand that this can be most difficult on people who may not fully comprehend the reason behind it. Empower Cherokee would like to request your support in assuring le who use our services that we will reopen as soon as it is in everyone's best interest and we cannot wait to get back to our regular programming.
Staff, please plan to report Monday. We will be cleaning and sanitizing our facilities and vehicles as well as catching up on any documentation and required training.
