This week was so amazing at Empower Cherokee. Our DSPs were showered with love by the staff, caregivers, participants, and the people they support. Thank you to everyone who made this such a special week.
Because of our supportive community the DSP staff enjoyed donuts, homemade warm pound cake, pizza, brunch, donated supplies, donations to our organization, a gift from Empower Cherokee and more this week.
Each day we celebrated a different department and highlighted what makes each of our DSPs unique and what core gifts and talents they bring to Empower Cherokee. On social media we saw shout outs to different staff and words of praise from friends, families, and caregivers.
As one final treat for DSP appreciation week some of Empower Cherokee's service recipients have put together a video to say thank you. They want to say thank you not just to DSPs, but to all the staff at Empower Cherokee. Many staff are named by name, and some are not, but that doesn't mean that one staff is less valued than another. It may just mean the person who wants to say thanks is camera shy or they didn't get the chance to be in front of the camera. Grab your box of tissues and enjoy.
Thank you to all the staff, families, persons using services and community members who continually remind our staff that they make a difference. Our DSPs really do Empower people to live life as they define it!!!
